Where can I submit my ideas for magazine articles?

What blogs or sites will pay me for my writing... and how much??

There are quite a few magazines in print as well as online magazines and blogs who are actively seeking writers on a freelance basis. Some pay you for each article you write or post you make. Some pay you in perks: free games, movies, festival tickets. Many pay only with a promise of exposure for your writing and YOUR blog via an author's bio and link to your website, with a possibility that your writing, if it's consistently excellent, could be a path to a full or part-time paid position as a staff or freelance writer.

Blogs and online mags who don't pay, but who provide credit, authors bios, and links back to your website.

Writing as a 'guest writer' for established online blogs is a great way to get exposure for yourself and your website or blog as your compensation. "Writing for exposure and link backs" can be an excellent way for the freelance writer who is just getting started to gain experience, an audience, and credibility. Once you've established yourself as a guest writer, it's possible you could be offered a staff writer or freelance writer position that pays... or get the attention of blogs and sites who pay their writers.
